The RAC Professional Practice Package:Supporting Every Part of Your Practice

The RAC Professional Practice Package: Supporting Every Part of Your Practice

We have listened and are acting accordingly. I am pleased to unveil the new RAC Professional Practice Package, now available at reflexologycanada.org under the “Policy” menu heading.

These new and revised documents bring together both Standards and Guidelines to support you in every part of your professional practice. Carefully designed with your needs in mind, they will help you deliver safe, ethical, and effective reflexology therapy while strengthening your confidence,  simplifying your daily work, and providing confidence to the public, insurers, and even governments about your work.

Resources to guide every aspect of your professional journey:

Scope of Practice: clear boundaries for what RCRTs™ can and cannot do

Standards of Practice : expectations that ensure quality and consistency.

Code of Ethics : principles for integrity, compassion, and professionalism

Contraindication Guidelines : practical tools for safe client care

Documentation and Session Record Guidelines : clear and professional recordkeeping

Receipt Writing Guidelines : transparency for clients and insurers

Mobile Reflexology Services Guidelines : ensuring safe and professional mobile care

Employment Contract Guidelines : protecting your rights and well-being in work agreements

To help you make the most of these tools, RAC will host:

An overview webinar on November 3, 2025, introducing the complete Professional Practice Package.

A webinar series offering a deeper dive into each standard and guideline, with opportunities for your questions and practical, real-world application

We invite you to explore the documents now and then join us on November 3, 2025, to discover how they can support, inspire, and elevate your practice.

IMPORTANT:  For Educators, Students, and RCRT™ Exam Candidates, please note that there will be a transition period for curriculum and learning material updates before we require you to have implemented and integrated everything in this package into your teaching, learning, or exam assessment.

On behalf of RAC, I extend heartfelt thanks to all members who provided feedback, to the RAC Policy Committee (comprised of RAC members and staff), and to the RAC Head Office team and National Board of Directors for their invaluable contributions to this important work.

Thank you for being part of our pan-Canadian community as we move onward, upward, while leaning back to enjoy reflexology.

With appreciation,

Marakary Bayo
