World Reflexology Week 2026
Earlier this year, the Reflexology Association of Canada introduced Reflexology Before for National Reflexology Day. This September, we’re taking the idea a little further.
For World Reflexology Week, September 21 to 27, we’re asking a simple question:
What’s your BEFORE?
Why do we so often wait until life feels particularly busy or stressful before making time for ourselves?
You don’t need to have a bad week first. Sometimes, making time for yourself is reason enough.
Think you know reflexology? Look again.
If the word reflexology immediately makes you think of feet, you’re not alone. But there’s more to it.
Reflexology can include techniques applied to the feet, hands, ears and face.
Hands
Ears
Face
And if you’ve never experienced reflexology before, it’s okay to have questions.
What will happen during the session? What kind of pressure will be used? Can you speak up if something doesn’t feel comfortable? What education and professional credentials does the therapist have?
Ask. Your questions matter.
Choosing a reflexology therapist
Professional registration for reflexology therapists is voluntary in Canada, so it is worth understanding the qualifications of the person you choose.
A Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist (RCRT™) has completed qualifying reflexology education, successfully passed RAC’s national entrance examination and met the requirements to become a Professional Member of RAC.
RCRTs™ also commit to ongoing learning, ethical practice, professional standards and accountability throughout their membership.
A professional reflexology experience should leave room for your questions, your comfort and your informed choices about your session.
