The Reflexology Association of Canada is a federally chartered non-profit organization founded in 1976 with members across Canada and internationally.
The main objectives of the association are to raise awareness of the benefits of the practice, to set and maintain high standards among practicing professionals, provide continuing education opportunities, and to act as an effective referral system for registered reflexology therapists across Canada.

History of

the Reflexology Association of Canada

The Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC) was founded in 1976 as a non-profit organization. The initial founders were Dr.Β Dorothy Marshall, Carola Barczak, Pamela Holt, Ann Lay, and others who gave their time, dedication, and effort to creating a viable association with By-Laws, policies, standards of practice and a code of ethics. By doing so, they were also aiming to promote reflexology and to protect the public.

Initially, there was no head office and no office staff. Everything was done on a volunteer basis, and the association was primarily based in Ontario, mainly in Toronto.

Today, based in Winnipeg, RAC is the oldest national reflexology association in the world and has seven (7) provincial chapters across Canada and members in countries such as Switzerland, Slovakia, Jamaica, Singapore, Egypt, etc.
